The 53rd Meeting of the Heads of Architecture Departments Communication Group was held on 25-26 November 2022 with the theme of "TOGETHER; Participatory, Interdisciplinary and Multi-Actor Communication for Sustainable Environments" hosted by the Department of Architecture at TED University.
At the meeting, all architectural educators and academics asked, “What can we do for a beautiful, fair and sustainable future?” along with the question “What are the others doing?” The questions and answers were discussed together in a multi-disciplinary environment, and joint decisions were made and solutions were offered.
In the program, our Library Manager Merve Eryılmaz and our Assistant Library Specialist Müberra Yılmaz took charge of the workshop titled “Library, documentation, education, sustainability and architecture”. Many issues such as architectural education and libraries, the importance of documentation, institutional memory and open access, sustainability and the role of libraries on equality of opportunity in education were opened for discussion, and awareness was raised by evaluating them from the perspective of architectural education and libraries/librarianship.
