Internship at TEDUlib

Interns from the Department of Information and Document Management are accepted to TED University Ayşe Library in 6 periods throughout the year.

1st period: June-July (Summer Period)

2nd period: July-August (Summer Period)

3rd period: August-September (Summer Period)

4th period: Fall Semester (Semester Period)

5th period: Semester Holiday (Semester Period)

6th period: Spring Semester (Semester Period)

Interns whose internship applications are accepted must complete the internship duration indicated in Internship Regulations of their universities.

1st step: The candidate fills out “TED University Ayşe Ilıcak Library Internship Application Form”. You can fill out the form here.

2nd step: TED University Ayşe Ilıcak Library Internship Application Forms are prescreened by the university administration. After prescreening, candidates are invited for interviews.

3rd step: After the applications are evaluated, candidates are contacted by the library administration and informed about the results of their application using the contact information on the internship application form.

4th step: Candidates whose applications are accepted and who have been informed about the results of their application by the library administration must submit their internship acceptance documents as soon as possible to the internship coordinators.

Internship acceptance documents:

* A letter addressing TED University Ayşe Ilıcak Library by internship coordinators with the names of the students who are accepted by our library

*Compulsory internship application form (signed by the Internship Coordinator),

*A letter indicating the applicants will have insurance from the university they study at/insurance notice

Important Note: The applications of candidates who have not submitted the requested documents in 10 days will be cancelled and reserved candidates will be included in the application process.

At most 3 students are accepted for each internship period.

Catering is provided by TED University Ayşe Ilıcak Library during the internship.

During the internship period, the whole days of the interns are planned and the weekly programs are provided to them by the internship coordinators at the beginning of the internship.

An environment is provided so that interns meet with all the units of the library, get in-service trainings, attend meetings, involve in practical applications, and also provide information and perform applications regarding EDMS (Electronic Document Management System) and recordkeeping.

Interns must share the experiences and observations they have had throughout the week every Friday on the blog “tedukutuphanesindestaj” (Internship at TEDU Library). Thanks to the blog, prospective interns may have an idea about internship at TEDU Ayşe Ilıcak Library and contributions are made to the creation of institutional database.

Students who join the internship program must obey all the rules established for all personnel in Ayşe Ilıcak Library (working hours, general rules for employees, etc.)

 

The arrival and departure times of interns are checked through internship attendance forms throughout the internship. Attendance of interns to the internship is compulsory. The absenteeism is reported to the respective internship coordinators by the library administration in written form.
