Knovel User Training

Dear Faculty Members and Students,
An online user training session on the Knovel platform, provided by Elsevier, will be held.
The aim of the training is to enable participants to use the Knovel platform effectively and efficiently and to support teaching, learning, and research processes through its engineering reference resources, technical data, interactive tables, equations, and material properties. The training will also introduce participants to effective search and navigation techniques in Knovel and familiarize them with the platform’s tools through practical examples.
Training Content:
- Introduction to Knovel – what the platform offers, the content it covers (reference books, engineering data, interactive tools), and how it supports engineering curricula, coursework and research.
- Searching and navigating Knovel – how to find relevant content quickly, use filters, and work with the interactive tables, equations and materials property tools.
- Live demonstration through use cases – a walkthrough showing how other universities use Knovel in engineering education, with practical examples relevant to both faculty and students.
- Q&A – time at the end for questions from the attendees.
